Head coach of Eleven Wonders FC Ignatius Osei Fosu has named WAFA midfield gem Augustine Boakye as the best playmaker in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Boakye has been phenomenal for the Sokakope-based club this season, pulling some incredible numbers thus far.
Augustine Boakye has netted 7 goals and registered 11 assists with 6 man-of-the-match awards.
The creative role has seen some outstanding performers including Asante Kotoko’s Fabio Gama, Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako and Hearts of Oak’s kingpin Ibrahim Salifu
However, coach Ignatius Osei Fosu believes Boakye is heads and shoulders above the other three.
“WAFA’s Augustine Boakye is better than Fabio Gama, Ibrahim Salifu and Gladson Awako. He has better statistics, all-rounder, dribbles, passes and at right position at right time.”
“Gama is more of passing type, Awako is aggressive but Salifu is more of decision making,” he told Oyerepa FM
Ibrahim Salifu has scored 3 goals, 7 assists and has won 8 MVP awards while Fabio Gama, has registered 6 assists, scoring 3 with 3 MVP awards.
Gladson Awako also has impressive numbers of 5 assists, 6 goals and 5 MVP awards.
