Asante Kotoko matchday captain, Emmanuel Gyamfi has been charged on one count of misconduct in view of his clubs’s Ghana Premier League matchweek 29 fixture against Inter Allies at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Monday afternoon.
Gyamfi has been charged stamping on Inter Allies player Andy Okpe in an off-ball incident in the 65th-minute of the game, an action the Ghana Football Association deem as improper and likely to bring the game into disrepute.
The 26-year-old has therefore been charged for a breach of Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019 which frowns against player indiscipline.
Asante Kotoko after the game defeated Inter Allies 3-2 to go level with Hearts of Oak at the summit of the league log. Gyamfi and Okpe were both on the score sheet for their respective clubs.
However, Gyamfi has up to close of work, Friday, June 18 2021, on or before 5 pm to respond.
