Ghana Premier League giant’s Medeama SC on Sunday suffered brutality from fans of their regional rival Karela United FC.
The Mauves and Yellow outfit were attacked during their MTNFA cup game against the Passioners. It was the round of 32 encounter at the Crosby Awuah Memorial park.
Medeama SC on June 14, 2021 notified the Ghana Football Association that some Supporters of Karela United FC have plotted to attack them when they visit the CAM park, however, no response was made to it as there was no enough security at the venue.
The attack from the fans, saw Eric Kwakwa severely injured after the angry fans broke the vehicle windows.
Before the incident, Medeama SC were leading 1-0.
