Asante Kotoko’s Brazilian import, Fabio Gama Dos Santos has said he will continue to prove his doubters wrong.
Gama joined the Porcupines on a free transfer before the start of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season in November.
Prior to his move to the West African Country, the once Brazilian prospect was inactive for several months and on top of that had not secured any money move in his previous transfers, according to transfer market.
Hence, local football fanatics and pundits questioned his abilities while others deemed him unfit for the physique nature of the Ghanaian game.
Rival fans labelled the playmaker as a ‘carpenter’ and the 28-year-old seems to be fixing things up for the Reds.
Gama has been a revelation in his debut season with four goals and six assists, working his way through to become one of the key members in Asante Kotoko set up.
The offensive midfielder scored the winning goal for Kotoko against Karela United on Wednesday.
“I don’t understand why they hated me even before I came. You cannot do that if you don’t know the player. Because you have never seen the player before.
“But I put it all in my heart and I try to prove myself. Now my name is all over Ghana because I didn’t give up. I just try to give my best to prove that they are wrong.”
