Former Communications Director of Asante Kotoko Moses Antwi Benefo has predicted victory for Hearts of Oak over his former employers in the Ghana Premier League Super Clash.
The two most glamorous clash at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 31 fixture on Sunday, June 27, 2021, in a game that could decide which of the two teams win the league title.
Antwi Benefo, who was appointed into office by Nana Yaw Amponsah when his reign as Kotoko’s CEO began last August, says he wish Kotoko claim victory in the titanic clash but his objective assessment of the two sides puts Hearts of Oak ahead of his former employers.
“As a former Kotoko Director of Communications Kotoko will win the match. This is a wish. I wish Kotoko wins the game but if I’m predicting as a journalist of Multimedia I will predict a win for Hearts of Oak on Sunday,” he said on Asempa FM on Friday’s Ultimate Sports Morning Show hosted by Andy Obeng Kwaku.
Antwi Benefo, a renowned broadcast journalist with decades of experience, resigned from his role as Director of Communications for Kotoko in December 2020 after reportedly falling out with CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Hearts of Oak, former winners of the CAF Champions League, Super Cup and CAF Confederation Cup, lead the Ghana Premier League table with 56 points. But, their leadership of the table is only supported by their superior goal aggregate as Kotoko also on same points.
It is widely expected that today’s game will determine which of the two teams will win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title.
Hearts have not won the Ghanaian league title since 2009 but have sparkled in their last 8 games in the league with Great Olympics the only side to have managed to hold them to a draw.
Kotoko have won all their last 5 games in all competitions.
