Relegation-threatened King Faisal FC on Monday edged out Legon Cities 2-0 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in a Ghana Premier League matchweek 31 encounter.
The game started without any firepower from both sides and remained a boring game for the most part of the opening quarter of the match.
Kwadwo Frimpong scored in the 22nd minute to shoot the home team into the lead to end the first with the Inshallah Boys leading 1-0.
Later in the second half, Kwame Peprah added the second in the 56th minute for King Faisal en route to winning 2-0 at the end of the 90 minutes.
King Faisal’s win takes them to 14th on the league table after 31 games with three matches left to play and will travel to Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi to face Asante Kotoko this weekend while Legon Cities take on Bechem United in Accra.
The team however needs to continue with top performances in their last three matches of the season to ensure the team stays in the top-flight league at the end of the campaign.
