Nzema Kotoko free-scoring striker Patrick Akese Akese has revealed that it is his dream to play for Asante Kotoko in the future.
Akese Akese has been sensational in this season’s National Division One League, scoring 11 goals with 3 coming from the spot.
He has been linked with a move to several Ghana Premier League clubs including Legon Cities and Medeama SC ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, the stoutly built attacker has declared his intentions to join Asante Kotoko despite the Porcupines not showing interest in acquiring his services.
“My favourite team that I wish to play in the future is Asante Kotoko because it is the club I wish to play for one day. And it is the wish of every division one league player to play in the Premier League because that’s where the attention, the money and the publicity is,” he told Boamang Afigya-based Fish FM.
“Yes, I have been told that both Legon Cities and Medeama SC are all interested to sign me so I should train very hard. When Legon Cities came to play Karela United their management talked to me but I haven’t heard anything from them since that day”. He Stressed.
The stoutly built attacker racked in 6 goals in a single division one league match to showcase his attacking potentials. Akese scored 7 goals and provided 5 assists during the NC Special tournament which helped him secure a call up to the National under-23 side Black Meteors that failed to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games at the U23 AFCON in Egypt.
