Gold Stars lead Zone two with 61 points after 27 games played so far. With just three games to end the season, the Bibiani-based club have a great chance of making their first Premier League appearance.
Gold Stars have shown dexterity and character all season winning 18 – drawing 7 and recording two defeats in 27 matches. They remain the only side in the entire Ghanaian first and second-tier football to amass over 60 points with the season yet to end.
They have scored an impressive 39 goals and conceded 11 in the process with Prince Kwabena Owusu as their leading scorer in the Zone with 18 goals.
Gold Stars will have the opportunity to commemorate their first promotion into the Ghana Premier League next weekend in front of their supporters as they host Pacific Heroes at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
