Assistant coach of Ghana Premier League side, Berekum Chelsea, Abdul Henan Abu assaulted in Dawu after their 1-0 win over Dreams FC in matchweek 32 fixture.
Henan was reportedly attacked by the fans of Dreams FC following a misunderstanding between him and the supporters after his side’s shocking 1-0 away win to keep their hopes of surviving in the Ghanaian top-flight league alive.
He was rushed to the hospital by the medical team of Berekum Chelsea and he is currently on admission at the hospital. Henan’s condition as of yesterday evening is said to have been stabilized after the barbaric act.
However, Management of Dreams Football Club has in a release stated that, there was a heated exchange between Henan and Dreams FC head coach Vladislav Viric which resulted in the trading of blows and rather not fans attacking the Chelsea gaffer as speculated.
