Asante Kotoko deputy captain Emmanuel Gyamfi has been banned for a match and fined GH1000.00 for been charged with misconduct two weeks ago.
Emmanuel Gyamfi was charged for a breach of Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019. During the match between Inter Allies FC and Asante Kotoko at the Theatre of Dreams, Emmanuel Gyamfi stamped player number 45
of Inter Allies (Andy Okpe) in an off-ball situation around the 65th minute of the game, an action which in the opinion on the
association is improper and likely to bring the game into disrepute. Gyamfi pleaded with an explanation.
Decision by GFA D/C:
Emmanuel Gyamfi is found guilty of the Charges. A fine of GHc1,000 is hereby imposed on Emmanuel Gyamfi in accordance with Article 6.1(c) of the GFA Disciplinary Code That Emmanuel Gyamfi is hereby handed a one match ban in accordance with Article 12(b) of the GFA Disciplinary Code. Emmanuel Gyamfi is warned that any future misconduct shall receive a more severe punishment.
This means that Emmanuel Gyamfi will not be available in the club’s FA cup game against Asokwa Depotivo Today 6th July, 2021 and will be available for Bechem United and Elmina Sharks league games.
