Asante Kotoko fans based in the United State have officially settled the fine imposed on head coach Mariano Barreto and winger Emmanuel Gyamfi.
Barreto was two game ban and GHC 3,000 fine by the Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee for his ‘offensive statement’ about referees after Kotoko game against Legon Cities on May 1, which the association deem inappropriate for the reputation of the league.
Also, Emmanuel Gyamfi had a one match ban due and GHC1,000 fine as retrospective punishment for his miscount committed at the blind side of the referee during Kotoko’s win against Inter Allies on week 29.
The fee amount to a total of GHC 4,000.
The ‘Loyal Red Army’ group through an influential Kotoko fan on Twitter with the handle @BigJoe_Kotoko showed their willingness to pay up the cost of the fine.

Whereas Barreto miss will mis the weekend clash at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park with one game left to serve.
