Elmina Sharks will play in the Ghana Premier League next season after they narrowly escaped relegation in a tightly-fought game against Asante Kotoko SC in Obuasi.
The Sharks went into the clash needing the maximum points to keep themselves alive mathematically to stand any chance of clawing back the one-point gap between themselves and safety.
Sharks defeated the Porcupines 1-0 at the Len Clay Stadium courtesy of a goal from Tahir Mensah in the 56th-minute.
They won just 10 of their 34 matches played in the season, 12 draws and 13 defeats, giving them just 39 points on the 15th position. Sharks scored 34 goals and allowed 45 into their net.
