King Faisal striker, Kwame Peprah during the second transfer windown in the just ended 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season rejected a $95,000 from league champions Hearts of Oak.
Peprah was on the list of Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and Dreams FC with all clubs showing keen interest in the player in the February transfer window but his club insisted he stayed to help them avoid relegation.
The 20-year-old has firmly established himself as one of the best strikers in the league but missed out on the golden boot award to Diawisie Taylor.
However, bankroller of King Faisal, Alhaji Grusah claims the Phobians saw their offer rejected by the player to stay and help the club escape relegation.
“Hearts of Oak offered $95,000 dollars plus 20% onward transfer fee for Kwame Peprah,” Grusah said in an interview with Fox FM in Kumasi.
“Hearts of Oak sent Alhaji Akambi who came to negotiate the deal. They had wanted to sign the player and allow him to finish the season with us before he join them at the end of the season but the player rejected the move” Alhaji Grusah explained.
Kwame Peprah won the man-of-the-match accolade 7 times and netted 12 goals and 12 assists to help King Faisal escape relegation.
