Former Asante Kotoko SC midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah (NYA), has been extremely impressive since taking over the club in 2020.
According to the FIFA U-20 World Cup winner, NYA has been superb administratively for the Porcupines.
The young Football Administrator was appointed into office in August last year and has since secured numerous sponsorships deals and is on the verge of completing the first phase of the club’s modern training complex at Adako Jachie,Kumasi.
However, the Reds finishing the 20/21 season trophyless, coupled with other internal issues has drawn many criticism on the CEO with some fans calling for his head.
In an interview with Prestea based Energy FM, Agyemang Badu said he will be disappointed if Nana Yaw Amponsah is axed.
“Everyone has his opinion but for me I don’t think he (Nana Yaw Amponsah) deserve to be sacked. He has done a tremendous job. He has changed player signing to the standard of Europeans. He has done a lot. People may not like him but his managerial style has been superb. So I will be very disappointed if the board decide to sack him.”
