Black Stars center-back, Alexander Djiku was sent off as Strasbourg suffered 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-German on Saturday.
Djiku lasted almost 90 minutes in the game at the Parc des Princes but two yellow cards in two minutes saw his evening come to an abrupt end.
Mauro Icardi, Kylian Mbappe, Julian Draxler and Pablo Sarabia netted the 4 goals for the home side while Kevin Gameiro and ludovic Ajorque grabbed the consolation goals.
Djiku went into the referee’s book on the 79th minute after a tackle on Sarabia, receiving his first yellow card.
On the 81st minute, the Ghanaian Center half nudged down Icardi in what did not seem like a strong tackle, however the referee showed the him the exit.
Alexander Djiku is fast becoming on of Ghana’s reliable center-backs with consistent performance and consecutive call-ups into the National Team.
Djiku has been yet again named in Black Stars squad for upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa next month.
