Gladson Awako will wear the No. 7 shirt for next season after completing his move from Great Olympics.
Hearts of Oak submitted their squad for next season’s CAF Champions League as deadline day August 15, 2021 was met.
Hearts of Oak are yet to officially unveil the 30-year-old but he is part of the 36 players registered for the 2021-22 African campaign.
The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner on Friday signed a 2-year deal with the Premier League champions for a fee reported to be around $15,000.
There had been speculation Awako would be handed the No. 10 at Hearts, but that shirt remains with Emmanuel Nettey and Awako will wear 7 instead.
That shirt was most recently worn by Mamane Lawali who’s out due to an injury.
