The next few months may be the last occasion for Asante Kotoko central defender Wahab Adams in the fabulous jersey as the player has hinted of not renewing his contract with the reds.
The robust defender, who joined Asante Kotoko after leaving Aduana has been at the center of controversy after Kotoko fingered him for trying to twist their arms by having trials with another club.
Kotoko is asking the player to deny or confirm if he is training with another club, to which the player has denied, however adding that he is not in Ghana at the moment. He denies signing for a club in Ethiopia.
Ghansportspage.com can reveal that the player is not considering renewing his contract with Asante Kotoko, which expires in December. It is understood Kotoko is also not intending to continue the relationship, especially as head coach Mariano Baretto has earlier told management Wahab and two other players are not part of his plans.
“My contract ends in December and I am not going to renew it”,Wahab has vowed . It is believed the player intends leaving for a foreign club in the near future.
