Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has rewarded the playing body of the Phobians after winning double in the just ended season.
The Hearts team started the 2020-21 season poorly and many doubted to see where the club’s current stand is at the moment. But they proved beyond every reasonal doubt and gradually began to amass points. They triumphed several obstacles within their capacity and ability to head the league. Their strong contender Kumasi Asante Kotoko gave them a very hot chase but they were able to sail through.
With these outstanding performances of the club, Togbe Afede XIV, who is the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, the President of Asogli Traditional Area, and former President of the National House of Chiefs have shown up.
Kumasi-based Pure FM sports host, Bright Kankam Boadu reports that the entire playing body, technical team and management members of the club have received huge reward from Togbe.
According to the report, the reward were received based on each players’ performance and input during the season. Players who contributed much to the team received GHc4,500 each and dropped to a minimum of GHc1,000.
Hearts won the Ghana Premier League for the first time in eleven years before annexing the FA Cup title after beating AshantiGold in the final.
