There are reports that different military factions are fighting each other in Guinea now with CAF considering the safety of players and officials due to unrest.
Some gunshots were heard early Sunday near the presidential palace in Guinea’s capital, Conakry witnesses said.
This has raised security concerns in a country with a long history of military power grabs and coup attempts.
A military source told Reuters news agency the bridge connecting the rest of the city to the Kaloum neighbourhood, which houses most ministries and the presidential palace, had been sealed off and many soldiers were posted around the palace.
There are unconfirmed reports that three soldiers have been killed.
