Former Ghanaian international Rev. Osei Kofi has revealed the bad side of the senior national soccer team ‘The Black Stars of Ghana’ after one nill victory over Ethiopia in their first qualification game for the upcoming world cup to be held in Qatar next year.
The only goal scored by Mubarak Wakaso gave Ghana the three maximum points to top their group but the performance did not not impress the former AFCON winner.
Speaking to Isaac Ganyo Tamakloe of Ghana Sports Page he claimed, “CK is having a problem but I haven’t followed how he select his players and I don’t know how he use to select his players.
“The only thing I saw is that the Ethiopians played like they’ve been taught how to play football whiles Black Stars were playing on their own style of play but not what the coach have instructed to them to do.
“The Ethiopians played the basis in football.”
“They would have won the game if it is a boxing because they dorminated. We have a problem. They can qualify but they have to increase their performance.
The former Ghanaian attacker was among the team that lifted the AFCON for Ghana in 1963 and 1965 after a scintillating performance.
“I have played the game before and I’ve coached before. Speaking from experience, I saw that the Ethiopians were playing under instructions from the coach but for the Black Stars were playing on their own because they think they are masters.
“There was a big difference between us and the Ethiopians. Akonnor has a problem” He ended.
