Black Queens head coach, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo has named her final 23-woman squad for the Aisha Buhari Invitational Women’s Tournament taking place in Lagos, Nigeria 15th – 21st September 2021.
Ghana will take on South Africa and Cameroon in Group B in the six-nation women’s showpiece.
Towards a successful outing, Tagoe has picked a strong squad made up of four foreign-based professionals and 14 players who ply their trade in the Ghana Women Football League.The list exclude team captain, Elizabeth Addo who was part of the provisional list.
The competition is organised in honour of Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari, and it will be a week-long event in Lagos. The tournament is expected to get Ghana ready for the 2022 Awcon qualifiers against Nigeria in October.
