Veteran football administrator Kofi Manu ‘Blue Boy’ has slammed the president of the Ghana Football Association for intimidating players and their coach at Cape Coast before the game against Ethiopia.
The Ghana Football Association president Kurt E.S Okraku made a statement during his one on one meeting with the Black Stars in Cape Coast before the game against Ethiopia that, ‘If you say you are a top player and you cannot play this is the door walk out, you coach if you say you are experience coach you must deliver’.
According to the experienced football administrator it is not right for the FA president to intimidate players and the coach 48 hours to kick off.
“48 hours to kick in Cape Coast you go and stand infront of players and intimidate them. Is that how they run football? ‘If you say you are a top Player and you cannot play this is the door walk out, you coach if you say you are experience coach you must deliver’.
“I have never never seen some in my life before. 48 hours to kick off, you must say something tangible to the players, motivate them and give them assurances even though who are coming in for the first time should be given the confidence that you can make it but he rather intimidated them, threatening them and you expect them to deliver. Ghana, we couldn’t say anything about it but wanted the coach to be sacked.”
Kofi Manu told Peace FM.
