Gladson Awako’s agent, Yussif Chibsah, has confirmed that the player’s continuity at Hearts of Oak is uncertain.
Awako who joined the Phobians in the ongoing transfer window is reportedly thinking of an early exit after 3 weeks at his new club.
The player has been absent from the team’s camp for two weeks now and thus missed the CAF Champions League win over CI Kamsar last Sunday.
Some reports claim the former Great Olympics man has been battling spiritual issues since signing for the Rainbow team. Hence, he want to quit.
According to some officials of the club, the player was excused from camp because he was under the weather.
Nonetheless, Chibsah did not confirm nor deny the claims but said Awako’s future at Hearts will be resolved in a meeting in the coming days.
“Hearts of Oak gave Awako permission to hold personal training. We won’t address issues in public. It has nothing to do with financial obligations. Hearts paid everything to the player. It’s likely he may play or may not play for Hearts but we have to meet the club to discuss his future,” Chibsah told Asempa FM
