Former West African Football Academy (WAFA) playmaker, Augustine Boakye has opened his account for Wolfsberger in a hefty win over ASV Siegendorf.
Boakye was on the scoresheet and had a hand in his new sides 6-1 massacre against Siegendorf in the Austrian domestic league cup.
The Ghana U-23 midfielder made a cameo in the game and managed to restore his team’s four-goal lead on the 82nd minute, making it 5-1 before Chiekhou Dieng added another to wrap the win with a sixth goal.
The 20-year-old joined Wolfsburger from WAFA during the just ended European transfer window where he penned a four-deal with the Austrian top-flight side in a deal that runs until 2025.
Augustine Boakye was nominated for the Player of the Season award at the end of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season following his 20 goals involvement- 9 goals, 11 assists.
