Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko will be sending four of their players on loan ahead of next league season.
The Porcupines are structuring the squad for the upcoming league season after losing the last season’s Ghana Premier League title to bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak.
As part of making space to accommodate new players, Kotoko have decided to send four players on loan deals to gain enough playing time.
According to a reliable source, winger Godfred Asiamah will be sent on loan before the commencement of the 2021/22 league season.
The former AshantiGold star will be joining Berekum Chelsea on a season-long loan deal with talks already advanced.
Aside from Asiamah, striker Osman Ibrahim will also be leaving the club on loan due to the arrival of new signing like Samuel Boateng and the likely signing of Uganda goalscorer Steven Dese Mukwala.
It is believed that Osman Ibrahim could return to King Faisal after an explosive form in his last stint with the club.
Also going on loan is right back, Samuel Frimpong, who has been heavily linked to Medeama Sporting Club and Karela United.
Frimpong may not be donning the Kotoko jersey next season due to the arrival of Samuel Appiah from Medeama Sporting Club as well as Emmanuel Sarkodie.
And as part of the pruning exercise, Kotoko have parted was with goalkeeper Felix Annan, Wahab Adams, Naby Keita, Martin Antwi and Augustine Okrah and is widely reported that skipper Emmanuel Gyamfi could leave the club as well.
