Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol has surprised the entire football fraternity in the world with their splendid performance in their second game against Real Madrid for appearing in the UEFA Champions League for the first time.
This is the first time a club from Moldova is making an appearance in the UEFA Champions League with the majority of foreign-based players.
The club recorded their first UCL home win over Shakhtar Donetsk two weeks ago as they played their first game in the Champions League making history as the first team from Moldova to play in the UCL.

Uzbekistan playmaker Jesurbek Yakhshiboev opened the scoreline for Sheriff Tiraspol to take the lead on the 25th minute whilst Real Madrid getting the equalizer on the 65 minutes by Karim Benzema after a penalty was awarded.
Sebastien Thill netted the winning goal for Tiraspol on the 89th minute for the club to top Group D.
This has helped the Moldovan side to top Group D with 6 points out their two matches in the UCL 2021/22 season.
Edmund Addo was booked for persistent fouling on the 45th minute.
