Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Stars are close to signing released Asante Kotoko duo Emmanuel Gyamfi and midfielder Kwame Adom Frimpong.
The duo were part of the eight players transfer-listed by the Porcupines last week.
The Porcupines are bent on building a new team to compete for the Premiership next season and released Gyamfi and Adom Frimpong who saw few games last season due to injuries.
A source close to the deal confirmed to Ghanasportspage.com that Gyamfi and Adom Frimpong were in Dormaa this on Tuesday to meet Nana Agyemang Badu, who’s the owner of Aduana to negotiate their personal terms.
The source further disclosed that negotiations are far advanced between Aduana and the two players and a deal could be struck in the coming days should they reach an agreement.
Gyamfi joined Asante Kotoko in 2016 from Wa All Stars after a short stint with an Armenian side.
Gyamfi, 26, has won 5 major honors with the Kumasi-based club since his arrival in 2016 including the 2017 MTN FA Cup with 18 goals to his credit.
Adom Frimpong on the other hand also joined Kotoko in 2019 on a three-year deal after his one-year spell with Salalah S. Club in Oman came to an end in 2018.
