Ghana Premier League Champions Hearts of Oak’s winger, Michelle Sarpong has signed a two-year contract extension as he joins premier league side Elmina Sharks on a season-long loan.
Sarpong was brought from Hearts of Oak’s youth team – Auroras – to the senior side when he signed his first professional contract in January 2019. He went on to perform creditably during the Normalization Special competitions.
However, the Phobians still believe in the potential of the winger and have extended his contract for another two seasons. Michelle Sarpong broke onto the scene under Kim Grant some two years ago and has been unable to cement his position in the team.
The Ghana Premier League Champions believe Elmina Sharks have the right environment to continue Sarpong’s development.
Hearts of Oak will host WAC of Morocco in Accra on October 17, with the return encounter scheduled to be honoured in Casablanca in a week time.
