Ghana Premier League returnees Real Talame United are close to signing former Cotonsport of Garoua defender Etta Bawak.
Cameroonian portal, Kick442.com confirms that the player’s entourage is in positive talks with officials of the newly-promoted Ghanaian Premier League outfit and the former Intermediate Lions deputy skipper could be in Ghana as early as next week to seal the deal.
The 27-year-old Yaoundé-born is set to join the Northern Blues ahead of the 2021/2 football season as a free agent after running down his contract with Cotonsport few days ago.
Etta spent almost three years at Cotonsport during which he earned a spot to represent Cameroon at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
Switching to Real Tamale United will provide a first real opportunity for the player abroad and in Ghana, though the strong full-back previously played against Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation in the 2018/2019 season.
Real Tamale United are back in the Ghanaian topflight for the 2021/22 season after spending 8 years in the second-tier.
The 2021/22 Ghana football season has been scheduled to kick off on October 29.
