United States-based Zimbabwean defender Teenage Hadebe encountered a problem on his way to Ghana ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana on Saturday 9th October 2021.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender was denied permission into his flight due to an issue with his Covid-19 vaccination card.
The issue has been resolved and he has arrived safely in Ghana, expected to join his teammates in Cape Coast this morning.
Hadebe and England-based Brendan Galloway are the only players not yet in camp, with the latter having visa issues which also delayed his departure from England but all the 24 invited players have safely landed in Ghana for the crucial encounter on Saturday’s afternoon.
The Warriors will train at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium tomorrow, Friday 8th October 2021.
Ghana will take on Zimbabwe on Matchday 3 of the qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports stadium on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 16:00GMT
The Black Stars currently sit in second place in the Group G table with 3 points following a win against Ethiopia and a defeat to South Africa.
