Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Benjamin Afutu has signed a deal with newly-promoted Egyptian Premier League (EPL) side Eastern Company Sporting Club (El Sharkia Dokhan FC), Ghanasportspage.com can exclusively report.
The highly-rated midfielder penned a three-year contract which will keep him at the club until 2024.
The mercurial midfielder began training with the Egyptian side on Wednesday after passing his mandatory medical examination.
Afutu was available on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with the Phobians.
The 24-year-old played a crucial in the club’s bid of winning the domestic treble last season under Samuel Boadu last season.
Afutu featured in 29 games for the Phobians, scoring five goals in the process.
