Former Ghana local Black stars midfielder Albert Bruce has vowed to help the Black Stars of Ghana to lift the trophy if given the call-up.
Albert Bruce currently plays as a midfielder for Ermis Aradippou football Club in Cyprus. He served Kumasi Asante Kotoko between 2010 and 2014 in his senior career. He then moved on to Legia Warzaw in Poland on loan and that’s where he left Ghana for European football.
Bruce has played for 12 different clubs since 2009. The 27 year old midfielder Bruce has also played for Ghana U-17, U-20, and the local Black Stars. He help the Local to win a mini trophy in Liberia.
Speaking with the former Panachaiki midfielder about his call up into the national team he said “I’ve played U17, U20 and the Local Black Stars. I was part of the Local Black Stars team that won the trophy in Liberia. Black Stars is now my target. I’m waiting for my time and praying for my time because I’m ready and this is what am praying for to handle the call up.
“They said there are scouts from the management team but I’m hoping that they will look at my side also and then see what am doing well because, in Ergotelis, I was the assistant captain and they know what am doing so I just pray that this committee or this scouting team will also follow me and see my performance as how the players get the opportunity to hand the call-up. It is my prayer.
“Is a dream of every Ghanaian player to be in the national. I will be very glad and thankful to God if getting the opportunity. Of course, playing for the national team is an extraordinary feeling and so If I’m being given the chance I’m not going to play with my legs but play with my heart and give everything to the nation. It is a great feeling to play for the national team. That’s my aim when I’m being given the opportunity. He told ghanasportspage.com.
“I can see Black Stars have amazing quality players who are experienced and the young ones are also coming into the team. They also have extremely great talent. I will be happy to join because I know the quality and with the support and prayers of the nation and with the support of the management we can win the trophy because is something Ghanaians want and it has been a long time so is now a dream of Ghanaians to see that and I know with the quality of this players and if I join we can win a trophy. He said.
The 27-year-old Midfielder is currently appointed as vice-captain of his new team Ermis Aradippou. This could be attributed to his wide experience and leadership qualities discovered by the technical team of the club.
