Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, Board Member of the Accra Hearts of Oak has explained why the Phoobians were hugely defeated by the Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in the return league of the CAF Champions League group stages play-offs.
Hearts won the first leg in Ghana by 1-0 courtesy of Isaac Mensah at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak have dropped from the Champions League to play in the Confederations group stages play-offs after the 6-1 humiliating result.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe insists that the Moroccan side played good football in terms of experience.
“Nothing happened, is just that we met a club or a team that desires highly professional. They played better football than us and we lost. Is as simple as that. He told GL Radio in China.
On his view on Hearts of Oak qualifying from the CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers, he stated “Every football in the competition will hope to qualify and we hope to qualify. After that result, we shall make a b plan that can help the team.”
One-time Champions of the competition Accra Hearts of Oak will be playing against Algerian side JS Saoura, a club from North Africa on 28 November 2021 in Algeria.
