The head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Milovan Rajevac has pushed his attentions on Sunday’s World Cup qualifiers decider between Ghana and South Africa at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium after playing 1-1 with Ethiopia.
Ghana’s chance to qualify for the Mundial is thrown in doubt after failing to beat Ethiopia at the Orlando Sports Stadium on Thursday.
Ghana’s rivals in Group G, South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by a goal to nil in a late evening action on Thursday and this means Ghana just have to win convincingly against the Bafana Bafana’s on Sunday to penetrate through to the playoffs of the qualification.
After five matches in Group G, South Africa tops with 13points, Ghana 10points, Ethiopia 4points, Zimbabwe with only 1point.
Ghana winning on Sunday should be a win with at least two goals without a consolation to make sure they are through to the playoffs.
Coach Milovan speaking in a post match interview revealed “First, I want to congratulate my boys for fighting hard and I want to congratulate the Ethiopian team for really good performance today. They deserve this result, we had some problems at our defense especially today we made some mistakes so after all everything will be decided on Sunday.”
“For us is important to win our next match on Sunday with two goal difference if we want to qualify for the final round of the qualifications for the World Cup.” He said.
The qualifications to the playoffs is based on Ghana and South Africa and the who cross’ over will be decided on Sunday whiles Ethiopia and Zimbabwe are left behind.
