President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Kurt E.S Okraku has gallantly assured Ghanaians to expect victory over the make-or-break encounter against South Africa today at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars of Ghana will be in action against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the last round of the World Cup qualifiers in Group G.
South Africa Africa has taken the lead with 13points to the 10 of Ghana. Ghana will have to beat South Africa today to guarantee a place in the playoffs of the World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Mr. Kurt Okraku explained, “We knew to win our game against Ethiopia because pair the permutations we knew that, avoiding a defeat would probably make the journey easier than when the team is defeated so when at the end of the game, the scoreline was 1-1 we knew we have made it the way we wanted, for this reason, we then shifted our focus on South Africa’s game. “Because whether we won 10-0 in Ethiopia or 1-0 in Ethiopia we still have needed to win today’s game. “So we are very clear as to what to do.
“The technical team has been working overtime given the tiredness of the schedule and I believe that the entire country will be behind the team today.
“The boys are ready to do their very best for our dear country, the technical team is ready and we are ready and I’m sure you are also ready, so we are in the mood to make ourselves proud and to ensure that we put our right foot into the last line for qualification to the world cup”. He assured.
