A 39-year-old Ghanaian has been stabbed to death in South Africa after involving in an argument over Ghana’s controversial penalty over the weekend.
The penalty awarded by Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguette was calmly converted by Black Stars Captain Andre Ayew at the 33rd minute to secure a place in the playoffs of the African World Cup qualifiers.
According to sources, Yaw Owusu in his late thirties met his untimely death following Ghana’s 1-0 victory over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium during the last group game in Group G of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Africa.
39-year-old Yaw Owusu who was a barber in Durban was involved in an argument with one of the locals after the controversial penalty in a small town called Mzuluku.
