Champions League winner and now coach of Ghana’s U20 team the Black Satellites must be feeling excited following the end of a successful spell as the acting head coach of Premiership side Dreams FC.

Zito however is not okay with the fact that Dreams FC could not end on high after drawing 3-3 with Gt Olympics in Accra after going 3 goals up in the first half.

The Dawu based club had no choice but to fall on the Asante Kotoko legend earlier in the season as the head coach following the suspension of head coach Vladislav Vivic .

The Serbian was given a 4 match ban and fined GH5000 following a physical assault on Berekum Chelsea coach Abdul Hanan Abu after a match at Dawu.

He was charged on 3 Counts of Misconduct after he was captured on video slapping and punching Abu, who was later hospitalized after sustaining injuries. The Serbian pleaded guilty and asked for leniency before the Disciplinary Committee of the FA last season.

He had earlier in the season found himself in similar trouble and was suspended for a match and fined GH2000 following disparaging comments against the referee after a match with Asante Kotoko.

Dreams started this season without the Serbian on the bench and had to rely on Karim Zito for the first 4 matches. Zito was tasked to handle the team for the next four matches and he’s done very well for the club, losing only to Kotoko and doing enough to grab 7 points.

The match against the Olympics marks the end of Zito’s reign as a stop-gap coach as he hands over to the Serbian and reverts to his original technical director position at Dreams, according to information picked by ghanasportspage.com

It is understood Zito has been informed by Management of Dreams to hand over to the substantive coach as the club seeks to improve on its performance.

Dreams are 4th on the table with 7 points which is not bad for them but Zito wished the club had won the matches against Kotoko and the Olympics. But the foundation laid will be well used and built on by the Serbian, as Zito is applauded for his efforts.
