Chairperson for the Women’s Premier League Super Cup, Hon. Barbara Asher Ayisi has praised Hasaacas Ladies for putting up a stunning and scintillating performance at the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League held in Egypt despite failing to lift the trophy after loosing to Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa.
Winning the WAFU Zone-B wasn’t just a comedy but a sign of depicting good women football in the African continent.
Historically, is a great achievement for the Hasmaal ladies for reaching the finals of the first ever CAF Women’s Champions League.
Reacting on the performance of the Ghanaian girls, Hon. Ayisi said, “We want women’s football in Ghana to reach highest stage in Africa. This is where we are taking women’s football to.
“I am happy about the performance of the girls and I’m impressed by their achievement. Looking at their background I think they’ve become role models for especially young people.
“If these ladies have been able to do it then nobody has no excuse, that’s the attraction side so we will encourage them.” He divulged.
