The newly promoted GPL side Bibiani Gold Stars secured their fourth win in the GPL after belabouring Bechem United at the Bibiani Dun’s Park with a lone goal.
The game was kicked off at exactly 3pm as the pride of the Western North hosted Bechem United in Week 7 of the league.
The game ended goaless draw in the first half.
During the second half of the encounter, it was hard for both sides to break the deadlock until it was halted at the 71st minutes through a strike from Gold Stars’ Prince Owusu Kwabena.
Bechem United ended the throttle with ten men after their captain Kofi Agbesimah was sent off for a bad tackle.
Center referee, Samadzi Joshua Tetteh closed the day with the only goal scored by Prince Owusu during the 71st minute.
This will be fourth victory for the newly promoted side in their maiden edition of the Premier League.
Gold Stars after securing this slender victory will be at the 7th position behind their opponent Bechem United with all having 10points on the log.
Bechem United will hope to revive their winning spirit in their next fixture against Eleven Wonders in Techiman whiles the lads will lock horns with Great Olympics in Week 8 of the league.
