Ghana Premier League Giants Accra Hearts of Oak have affirmed the departure of former midfielder Emmanuel Nettey after the player opted against renewal of his expired contract.
Nettey joined Iriaqi division one league side Duhok Sports Club this week as a free agent after his contract with Hearts of Oak expired on 31st December last year.
Accra Hearts of Oak has taken to their social media to thank the hardworking midfielder for his exploits while at the club, confirming his exit on “mutual consent”.
“Accra Hearts of Oak will like to thank Emmanuel Nettey for his service to the club”, Hearts wrote via social media.
“They moreover expressed their appreciation to the former Inter Alliés midfielder for his stay with the club where he helped the club win double in the previous season.
“His time with the club is hugely appreciated. He leaves after both club and player opted not to renew his contract. We wish him all the best as he takes up the next challenge”, the statement added.
