The Black Stars of Ghana has opened the AFCON journey with a lone goal defeat to Morocco in Group C.
The game was played at the Amadou Ahidjo Sports Stadium.
Not many chances were created in the first half but in the 71st minutes of the game Ghana were closed to score but the goalkeepeer of Morocco denied Sulemana’s curling from long range.
Tactically, Ghana were ahead of the Moroccan’s between the 60th minute to the 80th minute. After the 80th minute, the Moroccans were dominant and fought for the winning goal at the 83rd minute courtesy of Sofiane Boufal.
At the dying minutes of the game, goalkeepeer Wallocott made a great save to deny Sofiane Rahimi’s strike.
The defeat leaves Ghana at the bottom of the table as Morocco takes the lead with 3points.
Coming up next in Group C is the game between Comoros and Gabon on 19:00GMT.
Ghana will take on Gabon in day two of the tournament on January 14.
