Accra Hearts of Oak lambasted Techiman-based Eleven Wonders in week 13 action of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Rainbows prevailed with 4-1 result over the away side.
The clash began with the away side kicking the first ball.
At the tenth minute, the away side, had a dangerous freekick 21 yards away from goal but the shoot was off-target
In the first 15 minute, the home side stepped up their game trying to find an early goal.
Salim Adam finally got the opener for Phobia with a trade mark bullet of a shot to power Hearts into the lead.
The away side came close to equalize at the 30th minute with a golden chance but Ibrahim Laar misses his target.
Straight after the break, Kofi Kordzi in his return to the team after recovering from an injury headed a sweet cross from Salifu Ibrahim into the net to extend the lead at the 48th minute.
Kordzi once again got the brace from a spot kick after Afriyie Barnieh was brought down in the box of the away side during the 53rd minute.
The away side couldn’t stand in front of the title holders, they gave away the fourth goal courtesy of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh following Salifu Ibrahim’s trademark pass.
Goalkeepeer Ayi was superior in the goal post for the home side to keep a clean sheet but Tetteh Nortey fought back to pull one back for Wonders after they were awarded a penalty at the 84th minute.
After week thirteen, Hearts of Oak has moved up from the 7th position to the 6th position with 20points. There is 7points difference between the Rainbows and their rivals Asante Kotoko who are leading with 27 maximum points.
Eleven Wonders are struggling in the relegation zone at the 17th position with only 12points.
