Iraqi top-flight, Duhok Sports Club has unveiled former Accra Hearts of Oak center-back, Nuru Sulley as their new signing.

The experienced defender left the shores of Ghana on Saturday to complete his move with the Iraqi giants.

Sulley left Hearts of Oak last month after he terminated his contract with Hearts of Oak.

Sulley played a vital role for Hearts of Oak last season to win the GPL and the MTN FA Cup after joining the club for the second time.

The defender has had an experience in Turkey and Libya before returning to join Accra Hearts of Oak.

Sulley has confirmed to Sir Martin, CEO of ghanasportspage.com that the team signed him in aid of helping them to qualify from the First Division to the Premiership.

“They are close to Turkey and it is just an hour and thirty minutes drive but they play their league in Iraq.

“They are first on the table in the ongoing First Division League in Iraq. They are about to play the second round that’s why they signed me to help them to seal a place in the Premiership. If they are able to qualify they will give me a big contract. The cities are nine but the weather is too cold.

“I am praying that God will help me to qualify them because when they checked my history they saw I was able to qualify Alayanspor into the Turkish Super League in my first year and for so many years I made a return to help Hearts to win the GPL title. I played in CHAN 2014 and went to the final. I think God has given me something and I’m praying that he will help me to qualify with them to the Premiership.” He said.
