Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique has delivered a piece of advice to Borusia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland on his seeming interest to join La liga record holders Real Madrid next summer.
The Norwegian super stars has been linked heavily with a summer move to the Bernabeau amidst interests from several clubs with FC Barcelona and Real Madrid leading. Real Madrid’s top most priority in the coming summer transfer is to seal a move for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, who is set to be a free agent by July 1.
Reports emerged on Monday, January 31, that the Los Blancos have reached agreement with the Frenchman for a move in June, and will earn a fee of 50 million Euros comprising several bonuses.
Against this backdrop, Gerard Pique has been reported to have advised Haaland not to join the same team as Mbappe if he really means to win the Ballon D’or.
““If I were Haaland and I wanted to win the Ballon d’Or, I wouldn’t go to the same team as Mbappe, Pique said, speaking to the streamer Ibai Llanos on Twitch in comments carried by Diario AS and published by football-espana.net.
Real Madrid will look forward to completing the move for Mbappe before turning attention to any other major signing in the summer.
