Information circulating in the sports fraternity suggests that Chris Hughton will be named as coach of the Black Stars following a final meeting between the Sports Ministry and the GFA in the last hour.
Both parties reached compromise and the former Brighton & Hove will begin work soon.
Initially, it was reported that Borussia Dortmund’s assistant coach Oto Addo was preferred by the Ghana Football Association but the Sports Ministry also wants the former Brighton boss to occupy the position.
In just three weeks, Ghana will go into an epic encounter with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the playoffs of the World Cup qualifiers.
Following the abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the recent AFCON, the Sports Ministry and the FA agreed to sack Serbian tactician, Milovan Rajevac and also dissolved the management committee.
Chris Hughton is expected to lead the Black Stars for triumph to crush out Nigeria to book a place at the World Cup.
