Former Ghana international now Deputy CAF General Secretary Anthony Baffoe has congratulated Asamoah Gyan on his transfer deadline day move to Ghana Premier League (GPL) side Legon Cities FC, wishing him success as he makes a big return to the domestic league.
Gyan, who begun his professional career playing a season for Liberty Professionals in 2003, has joined the Royals ahead of the 2020/2021 football season in what certainly looks like a big money move. The fee, though undisclosed by both parties, is reported to worth a million US Dollars.
The 34-year old Ghana’s all time top scorer’s move has caused great excitement for many lovers of the local game, most of whom have taken to social media to react to the biggest transfer of the 2020 season in the domestic league.
After Asamoah Gyan himself took to Twitter to announce the deal, the multilingual Ghanaian legend, Anthony Baffoe, has taken to social media to congratulate Gyan as prays “this will be a stepping stone for something big in the GPL”.
“@ASAMOAH_GYAN3 congratulations I pray this will be a stepping stone for something big in the GPL”, Baffoe wrote on Twitter. He also commended Legon Cities for the giant step taken and wished Gyan good in his new club.
