Women who are football enthusiasts have been granted free entry to the Accra sports stadium on Sunday, 20 March as the stadium hosts both the premier league game between Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold SC, as well as the crucial World Cup qualifier of the Black Maidens, the FA has confirmed.
On the said day, the Accra sports stadium will host the India 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup first round qualifiers second leg between Ghana’s Black Maidens and their Senegalese fellows which kicks off at 3:00pm, as well as Accra Hearts of Oak’s premier league day 21 fixture against Ashanti Gold SC which has been rescheduled to kickoff at 6:30pm.
In a publication made on Wednesday night, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) also confirmed, that “Tickets sold for the match involving the Black Maidens will be used for the match week 21 fixture between Champions Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold SC.”
The FA has as well made provisions for which aspect of the gates at the 40,000 capacity stadium should be used by female football fans to enter, so as to be beneficiaries of the free entry offer.
“Female supporters who wish to be at the stadium to support the Black Maidens should use the Conference Centre gate for free entry”, the FA directed.
Match tickets prices for the games as confirmed by the FA, are selling at GHC 20 for popular stand, GHC 30 for Centre line with VIP and VVIP tickets are pegged at GHC 50 and GHC 100 respectively.
While Hearts of Oak will be looking forward to a return to winning ways against the Miners, the Black Maidens would as well be looking to book a ticket to the 7th edition of the FIFA U-17 women’s World Cup to be staged in India in October 2022.
