41-year old retired Ghanaian footballer, Dan Quaye has boldly divulged that it will be difficult for his nation, Ghana to trounce the Super Eagles of Nigeria to progress for the World Cup.
Dan Quaye, who had a long spell with Hearts of Oak claimed naming debutants for such an encounter is something else.
The former GPL legend also lamented on how the GFA and the Black Stars Technical Team have kept long to announce the squad for the double-header against the Nigerians.
“It is first in history Ghana has kept long to release Black Stars squad for a game. There’s no understanding. Maybe is because of the new coach and let’s see what he will do.” Quaye told Ghanasportspage.com
“We must say the truth. The Nigeria game will be difficult for us because giving call-ups to debutants is something else. The European football is different and the Nigeria squad have played at the AFCON and even some of their newcomers have played ones in the recent AFCON. It will be difficult for the debutants on how to play on the pitch that’s why we insist calling the experience players will help than the individuals.”

Quaye is one of Ghana’s favorite footballing talents after his long and distinguished career with Hearts of Oak.
However, the accomplished defender only featured in three of the Black Stars.
He was a member of the national team and was called up to the 2006 World Cup and was a member of the Ghana national under-17 football team at the 1997 FIFA U-17 World Championship.
