Nigeria is leaving no stone unturned as they speed up preparations for the World Cup 2022 play-off against Ghana on Friday.
As of Wednesday, 23rd March, 2022, a total of 23 players out of the official list of 25 have arrived in the camp of the Super Eagles as the team gets in shape for the trip Ghana to honour the match on Friday. From our gathering, we can reliably report that the Nigerian contingent will arrive at the Kotoka International Airport (K.I.A) on Thursday ahead of the crucial match on Friday.
Interim Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Augustine Eguavoen handed call ups to a total official squad list of 25 players for the match with seven (7) more standby names, making a total of 32. With Goaleeper Maduka Okoye injured, Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble was handed a late call up to join the squad to Ghana, and Nigeria are expected to arrive in Ghana with 25 players at most, bearing in mind issues of covid-19 eventualities.
The arrival of Ademola Lookman makes a total of 23 players in camp so far, with goalkeeper John Noble and striker Sadiq Umar expected to arrive today, Wednesday, March 23. Akinkunmi Amoo, one of the latest to join the camp, arrived at the team’s The Well Carlton Hotel base on Tuesday night.
The Players and the coaches of the Super Eagles will fly from Nigeria on Thursday morning via a chartered flight from the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport in Abuja.
