The Ghanaian midfielder, who just ended her 8-year stint with Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the Ghana Women’s Premier League last month to join Trabzonspor FC in the Turkish Women’s Super Lig is eyeing a move to the female side of the ‘Blue Skies’ Manchester City in England.
The 21-year old Black Queens midfielder, Sonia Opoku believes to play in the English Women’s Premier with Manchester City in future following her first European move to Turkey, claiming she is a fan of the club.
Sonia Opoku paid her dues in a good manner to the Ghanaian football fraternity, shining to become the FA Women’s Player of the 2021 season which led to her connection to the European side.
When asked about her future move in Europe, Sonia had this to say, “Manchester City is the team I want to play in future. I support them and I was supporting the men’s team when they played against Real Madrid on Tuesday in the UCL semi-final. I would be happy to play with them in the future.” She disclosed on Original Tv’s Sports Punch Show with Agorohene Nana Yaw Opoku.
